Re: Ambeo Orbit saving files

Only developers should look into this issue and make Audacity work for both 32 and 64 bit plugins. Thanks for your reply mate. :) I don't think it's possible for a 32-bit app to load a 64-bit plug-in. That's why plug-in makers often release 2 versions, one for 32-bit hosts and one for 64-bit...

First I enabled the nyquist plug-in installer
That shouldn't be necessary. The Nyquist Plug-in Installer should be enabled by default, so there's something wrong there.

Did you previously have an older version of Audacity installed?

We can easily, and quickly test for the lowest 0.5 seconds within the first 5 seconds of the selection.
I'm liking this idea, but more importantly, do you like it Koz?

Re: ACX Check fails in 2.4.1

I broke free some time to patch the wiki and buffed up the original test suite. Yes I saw. That's what prompted me to get back to this topic. We're close to next release candidates, so it would be good to get this plug-in fixed up as necessary before my time all gets eaten up by RC testing. In theo...

Re: Name or get the file after the start time of recording

That's what "clapper boards" are used for: "Three, two, one,..Clap!" at the start and again at the end. Line up the start clap in each recording, then check the clap at the end. If the end claps don't match up, then that shows that the recording devices were not running at quite ...

Re: Interpreting Autocorrelation Results

Yes, though if you know the periodicity of a signal, then you know the frequency because frequency = 1/periodicity, or as more commonly stated:
frequency=1/wavelength

Re: No 64-Bit FFmpeg 2.2.2 Shared for Audacity 64-Bit

Currently we only provide 32-bit builds for Windows.

The official 32-bit release version can be run as a "portable" app quite easily: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/por ... acity.html

Re: Interpreting Autocorrelation Results

This is the way that I think of autocorrelation: Imagine that you have a sine wave, with a frequency of 100 Hz. That waveform has peaks at intervals of 0.01 seconds. Now imagine that you make a duplicate copy of it, and align the two waveforms one above the other - the two waveforms will exactly cor...

Audacity won't edit MIDI.
Audacity can do a little editing of MIDI, but it's very limited. Cut / Copy / Delete / Paste.
