That shouldn't be necessary. The Nyquist Plug-in Installer should be enabled by default, so there's something wrong there.

Did you previously have an older version of Audacity installed?

frequency=1/wavelength

Currently we only provide 32-bit builds for Windows.

Audacity can do a little editing of MIDI, but it's very limited. Cut / Copy / Delete / Paste.
