They are probably not MP3 but some other format.

Re: How to be sure project is saved?

Compared to a normal Audacity project, they're usually about the same size. I saved a project and a lossless project of the same show. The project _DATA folder was 321MB and the lossless was 635MB. Koz "usually". If the project contains a lot of empty "white space", then the los...

Re: Waveform dB??

It still exists, but the option to select it has moved from the track's dropdown menu, to the vertical ruler's right click menu (NOT my idea).

I tried the same thing. i.e. switched both Zoom H2N and Audacity to 48KHz sampling rate and the problem of pitch shift went away!
Is this issue specific to Macs? (I've used a Zoom H2 as a USB mic with Linux and had no problem recording at 44100 Hz)

Re: How to be sure project is saved?

The down side of Lossless is the size. They're enormous. Compared to a mixed down audio file, yes they are enormous. Compared to a normal Audacity project, they're usually about the same size. Lossless copies are primarily intended for making backups. The main difference between a normal project an...

Re: ACX Check fails in 2.4.1

I've checked the page from both my home IP and from Tor browser, so I'm pretty confident that the page is correctly updated. My guess is that you're getting a Cloudflare cache. If it is, then it's a bit slow refreshing, but I'd give it 'till tomorrow. If the problem persists, I'll contact the system...

Re: Can I fix choppy (like buffered) audio?

You could use "Truncate Silence" https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/tru ... lence.html

The "Action" setting will need to be "Truncate" rather than "Compress", and set "Truncate to: 0".
You will need to adjust the other settings to suit the audio.

Re: (Windows) Couldn't find data folder

Avoid directly using OneDrive, dropbox, Google Drive or any other cloud storage with Audacity. Audacity projects are complex, and may have many thousands of small files. If even one file is damaged during synchronisation with the remote storage, it can break the project. An additional problem is tha...

You can cut and paste an audio clip and it's labels - just ensure that the selection includes both t...
