Re: Limiter settings in macros
In the meantime, is it a problem with storing the information in the macro, or is it a problem with the Limiter plug-in? The problem is that the settings in the Macro are not getting sent to the plug-in, so the plug-in runs with it's last used settings (or it's default settings if not previously ru...

Re: Timeline only renders when resizing window
I was thinking that this might be an Ubuntu Studio issue, so I installed Ubuntu Studio 20.04. I ran into a couple of snags during the oh-so-slow installation, including the initial run of Software Updater hanging on snapd , but eventually I got it completed. With a default, fully updated installatio...

Re: Limiter settings in macros
Unfortunately this is a bug in Audacity 2.4.1 and it affects all Nyquist effects when used in Macros. Audacity 2.4.2 alpha includes a fix for this, but is not available yet. A release candidate (RC) for 2.4.2 is likely to become available within the next week or two (subject to no serious bugs being...

Re: Voice activated Recording - add seconds before stopping
Another vote for this feature. Vote added. Realistically, pre-roll is unlikely to happen any time soon as it would require a major redesign of Audacity's audio in/out code. "Post-roll" (a delay after the sound level drops before playback is paused) looks much more doable, though the lengt...

Re: Sound messing in one site
Do you mean "side" rather than "site"?
If so, ensure that your microphone is plugged into input 1 of the Scarlett, and set Audacity to record "1 channel (mono)" in the Device Toolbar. That should fix the problem.

Re: Removing Buzz
An alternative way to repair, which may be more effective, is to run the Notch Filter over the audio twice; first with the frequency set to 60 Hz, then again with the frequency set to 120 Hz.

Re: Black screen in editing area upon opening and while recording
Have I got this right: You were previously using Audacity 2.3.3 on Pop_OS 20.04 (based on Ubuntu 20.04) and it worked fine. Then, without knowingly making any changes (other than routine updates), a problem (black track panel area) appeared in Audacity 2.3.3. You tried updating Audacity with the Fla...
