Re: Head Set Mic

Some headsets allow the mic to be positioned at the corner of your mouth - this cuts down the amount of breath noise dramatically compared with having the microphone directly in front of your mouth.

Re: Editing Nightmare

To edit out your voice you can use the "Amplify" effect (set to minimum), or the volume envelope tool (drag the volume level to zero) instead of cutting. This will keep all the original timings. I think you've got the wrong idea about "Export Multiple" - have a look at this page ...

Re: CD will not play in my car radio

At the moment it sounds like the problem is with your car CD player rather than anything else.

Re: Recording Error

How do they do this? Measure the impedance? Or is there a specific headphone-only jack? I'm not sure, I guess they measure the impedance - On one machine that I saw with this, there were 3 unmarked, identical mini-jack sockets - the idea was that it would auto-detect what you plugged in where. Re: Display SPL vs time?

<<<2kHz to 20kHz>>> We do need to be careful about that. Some tweeter systems are designed for intermittent usage typical of a loud orchestra and will turn into a pile of cinders with a sustained test signal. It's one of the reasons I haven't posted a number of test sounds in a "visible" ...

Re: Copy Channel To Channel?

Click on the name of the stereo track. In the drop-down menu, select "Split Stereo Track" You now have 2 mono tracks, one set to the Left channel, one to the Right. You can now edit these as you like Hint; if you're copy and pasting a few seconds, tick the "Snap To" box and selec...

Re: Simultaneous Recording

In Audacity you can only select one recording source at a time, so you can't select your Line6 USB recording interface AND your other soundcard at the same time. If you are able to hear your guitar through your computer speakers while using the Line6, then you may be able to get Audacity to record b...
