Re: Playthrough but I don't select playthrough
Check that in the SB mixer you have selected "microphone" as your recording source and not "What you Hear". The default recording source on most SoundBlaster cards is "What You Hear" (which is often called "Stereo Mix" on other sound cards). Having this select...

Re: Mixer toolbar dropdown greyed out *on XP*
Is that causing a problem?
I've got XP SP2, and;
I have 1.2.6 and the mixer toolbar is greyed out.
and
I have 1.3.4 and the mixer toolbar is not greyed out.
Strange, but no problem - I generally have it hidden in 1.3.4 anyway.

Re: Export at 128kbps instead of 320, help please
This is the "Audacity Stable (1.2.x) ‹ Mac OS X" board, so I assumed you had v.1.2.x - silly me :D So for 1.3.x, when you are ready to export your audio, click on "File ->Export..." On the dialogue window that opens there are three buttons - "Save" , "Cancel" ...

Re: How to record tracks from iDJ2?
It's a bit quiet on the forum at the moment, and I don't know about macs, so you may need to come back after Christmas. However something to try: If you are new to Audacity, try recording from the analogue input on your mac and see if you can get Audacity working that way. When you've got Audacity w...

Re: Multiple Tracks Playing Simultaneously
OK, I'm going to assume that it's not voices in your head :D When you split a track, Audacity will create a new track and place the split part onto the new track. By default, these "split" parts should remain in the same "time position", but they are not fixed there - they can be...

Re: How to record tracks from iDJ2?
You also need to say if you able to record in any other software with the UCA202. (Is it an Audacity problem, or is it a problem getting the UCA202 to work with anything?)

Re: installing audacity
I think Sabyon uses the "Gentoo Portage" system for package management. There is information about using portage here: http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/handbook/handbook-x86.xml?part=2&chap=1 Sabyon is a very cool Linux disto, but possibly not the easiest for beginners. If you find it too ...

Re: Audio disappears in middle of audio track
Just to clarify, is this what you are saying? You could have a track, 10 minutes long, in Audacity, and it looks fine (all of it). You start playing the track and it may play the first 2 minutes, but then for the next 2 minutes no sound comes out although it is still playing and everything still loo...

Re: How to record tracks from iDJ2?
You need to set the recording input in Audacity to match the audio input that you are using (the Behringer USB).
You set it in "Edit -> Preferences -> Audio I/O"
