Re: How to record tracks from iDJ2?

Thanks for the help. I tried using Sound Studio and everything works fine. ... Cool - that means your hardware is working correctly. Now if it works in Sound Studio, it should also work in Audacity - you just need to carefully look at how the sound devices are set up in Sound Studio, and set up Aud...

Re: how to I fix /dev/dsp ??

I'm using the rt-kernel, perhaps something to do with that?
BTW, the rt-kernel give a huge improvement in performance to Audacity on my machine.

Re: need help using Presonus Firebox with Audacity

Talking v.1.3.4 (since that is what you need to set latency compensation). The "Audio Buffers" sets the amount of audio that is "buffered" (temporarily stored in ram) before Audacity tries to do anything with it. The point of using audio buffers is so that Audacity can work with ...

Re: Audio disappears in middle of audio track

The difficulty that we are having is that it seems to be a problem that none of us has come across before, and we can't reproduce the problem. The fact that you have the same problem on multiple machines makes me wonder if you have a slightly messed up installation of Audacity which has been cloned ...

Re: Import WAV problem

If it's a 32 megabyte file at 32 bits per sample, it's about 30 seconds long. A 30 megabyte wav at 96kHz 32 bit (float) stereo, would be a little over 40 seconds. At 44.1 kHz 32 bit stereo it would be close to 1min 30 s, and if in mono it would be about 3 minutes. If it's encoded either as mp3, or ...

Re: USB mic not recording w/ surround speakers, faint withou

Here's a link to some info that may help:

Re: New user question....

Hooray - someone wants to ead the instructions :D You will find the manual, and some simple tutorials here: http://audacityteam.org/manual-1.2/ Some bonus info that isn't in the manual: iTunes often uses AAC for encoding the songs and this format is not compatible with Audacity. This gives you two c...
