Re: TRACKING STEREO AT TWO DIFFERENT VOLUMES???

The easiest way to hear only the mic'd guitar would be to just take your headphones off so that you can hear the guitar amp. Other than that, you would need to use a mixing desk so that you can create a separate headphone mix that is different to what you are sending to the computer.

Re: Connecting to Cantabile

If Cantabile is playing sound through your computer's sound card, you will probably be able to record it using one of the methods described here: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/tutorial_recording_computer_playback_on_windows.html "Stereo Mix" may be the easiest if available, but many ...

Re: round in circles cda

I rarely use Windows these days, but I used to use "CDex" as a reliable and convenient CD ripper. I think the current version of CDex may contain adverts, so if you want to avoid that, get the "portable" version.

Re: In a mess uninstalling/installing on Kubuntu 18.04 LTS

Snap packages run in a "sandbox" environment. That may well be why it behaves differently from the deb version. Nonetheless none of the above is helping to remove the snapd version of Audacity. I'm not able to help with that as I don't use Snapd. Perhaps worth asking on the Ubuntu forums (...

Re: In a mess uninstalling/installing on Kubuntu 18.04 LTS

However as soon as I try to get where all my main files are (under /media/shared_partition) The /media/ directory is normally for mounting external devices. By default it is owned by "root" and is read only. User files should normally be kept in a subdirectory of the user's "Home&quo...

Re: Audacity 2.3.3 takes longer time to launch.

The terminal output looks normal for Audacity. Unfortunately it is quite cluttered with platform dependent checks (this needs cleaning up), but the messages are harmless. The two things that are most likely to cause slow launch: 1. Initialising audio In/Out. The audio system on Linux can be quite co...

Re: Why everytime I enable a plugin and press ok It is still disabled

The main three I'm trying to enable are vocal reduction and isolation, vocal remover, and vocoder. "vocal reduction and isolation" and "vocoder" should be installed and enabled by default. "vocal remover" is no longer included in Audacity. Unfortunately, Audacity does ...

A release candidate is now available from here: https://www.fosshub.com/Audacity-devel.html
Note that release candidates are intended for testing purposes only, so be careful and use backups with work that you want to keep, and report any issues here.
