Re: HELP HELP

I finally got registered. Then my Audacity problem started working. Surprise. When I record something from voice, how do I save it to replay back? Then send on e-mail. You need to "Export" the audio using "Export" from the file menu. If you want to send it by e-mail, export it a...

This is going way over my head now, but there's some stuff about it here:

Re: Tinny/distorted playback...

Going back to your first post: I used to use Audacity to capture stuff from Yahoo Music and it played back fine...upgraded PC...and now when I play the recording back it's crappy. This tells us that the actual recording is likely to be fine, but playback is poor. Some audio cards have various "...

Re: Sound trouble

Check in "Edit->Preferences->Audio I/O" and make sure that "Software Playthrough" is not selected. If that doesn't fix it, then you will have to give more details about exactly how you have things set up (what you are recording from, where it is plugged in, what your Windows mixe...

Re: Second Track records over 1st track

I'm not exactly sure what you mean, so starting from the beginning:

You are using which version of Audacity?
You are recording onto a Mac / PC / laptop?
You have connected a tape player to the Line-in / microphone socket / USB interface?

And then you do what exactly?

Re: click removal

Should these (effects) be done in any particular order? In most cases you will find there is not much difference, although with some effects there is a correct order. If you wist to do any noise removal, do so before using any kind of compression effect. Do noise and click removal before using reve...
