Re: Modernizing an old plugin

I think that technically there's another error in the :isnew method. It does not affect how the code runs, but "h" has not been defined when it is first used, so it defaults to the value 2.0 (See: https://www.cs.cmu.edu/~rbd/doc/nyquist/part2.html#index59). To be technically correct, I thi...

Re: Audacity Modern Logo Redesign

Thanks for your contribution. I've added your logos to the "logo gallery": https://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=67&t=83108 I prefer the version that includes the "A" in the text. Unless I already knew the name "Audacity", I'd assume that the other one was ...

As they're nearly identical, these phase shifts can catastrophic for the mixing, cancelling the signal and leaving noise.

If you are recording with one microphone, ensure that you plug your mic into the left hand channel ("Channel 1")

Re: DTS 3ch v ac3 error

Yes, it's very common for 3 channel AC3 to be encoded as 2.1 (stereo + LFE).
If you want L, C, R, use a different format (such as WAV or OGG).

Re: Modernizing an old plugin

I can make it "compatible" by changing line 2 to ;version 4 and the "s" in the last line to *track* However, it gives a warning and does nothing: Try applying the un-modified code to white noise. You will still get the warning, but should be able to see that it is doing somethin...

If you post to the page where you found that plug-in, Robert may be subscribed to the page and see your post. (Robert is still around, but doesn't visit the forum very frequently).

Perhaps if you read this introduction to digital audio first, you may be able to rephrase your question in a way that is understandable: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/digital_audio.html

FFmpeg didn't help. Still the same issue.
Does the file play in other apps?
What does this site say about the file? https://mediaarea.net/MediaInfoOnline
