Re: combine file formats into ONE save as or export box

I am aware sample rate is in the preferences. There is no good reason for it to be there... Actually I think there is a good reason for it to be there. I prefer to work in 16 bit 44.1kHz most of the time, so I can set that in the preferences. Other people prefer to work in 48 kHz 32 bit, so they ca...

Re: Unable to record

Good news indeed - at least you can now be sure that it's not a hardware fault. So what we're left with is RealTek audio with RealBad drivers - it'll be interesting to hear what MSI have to say. The reason that they need very specific information about your mobo is that they probably have a lot of m...

Re: Unable to record

I was hoping that a fault would show up, but that all seems to be correct. You say this is a new computer - have this problem existed from brand new? I'm running out of options here, but there's still a few things that it could be: 1) A hardware problem (the recording device is faulty) 2) The audio ...

Re: combine file formats into ONE save as or export box

1) This is already implemented in Audacity 1.3.4
2) In Audacity 1.3.4 the sample rate is set in "Preferences", and the bit depth can be selected when you export the audio.

Re: How to install Audacity on a Mac - Perfectly?

We'll see if I get any arguments over my numbers. I regularly get into it with other engineers about actual implementation of some of that technology I shan't argue with your numbers koz :) You stated that the theoretical numbers are more impressive than real world numbers, which is quite true. CD ...

Re: What happened to Freeverb?

Freeverb is still available in one of the plug-in packs, but I don't remember off hand which one.
Oh hang on a minute - If I type "audacity freeverb" into Google, it comes up with this page:
http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php? ... b#Freeverb
Does that help?

Re: lagging tracks

You may need to set up the latency correction.
There's a post that shows you how to do it here: http://audacityteam.org/forum/viewtopic ... 5535#p5562

Re: Set-up, No RCA Jacks on computer

ION turntables have two sets of outputs, a pair of phono plugs and a USB connector. The way you are supposed to set it up is to plug the phono plugs into a hi-fi amplifier turntable input, and plug the USB into your computer. It is important that the analogue (phono) inputs connect to a turntable (p...

Re: Sound only in one speaker.

Best place for posting this question would have been in the section specific to your operating system and the Audacity version that you are using (for example Audacity 1.2.6 Windows). So I assume that everything is working but you have one specific recording that is a stereo recording, but only has ...
