Re: How can I add a music jingle from one file to a new file
If you have the jingle saved on your computer as an audio file: Open Audacity and open your interview file. "File->Save As" will create an Audacity project. "Import" the Jingle - this will create a new track with the jingle on it. Move the interview track along a bit with the &qu...

Re: Unable to open aup file-Windows
When you "Save" an Audacity project, it will save a project file (*.aup) and a folder containing the audio data (*_data, containing a number of *.au files). This is not the same as "Exporting". To save as a normal .wav or .mp3 file you use the "Export" command from he F...

Re: Edit The Metadata Prompt

Re: Recording straight from audio output
I think that you have mis-read the post. The problem is the other way round: works ok using loop back, but only one channel when recording "Stereo Mix".kozikowski wrote:You know the Mic-In on a sound card only has one channel, right? Are you sure you're plugged into the Line-In?

Re: VST Enabler Installation problem
That's right, you don't need the VST brifdge for LADSPA plugins.
A good set of plugins to start with are "swh-plugins" which you can install with synaptic (Universe).

Are you copying the files onto your hard drive before you open them in Audacity? If not, try that.

Re: USB Turntable-to-PC (XP): Nasty periodic BUZZ
From other posts on this forum, it seems to be an inherent problem with many USB TTs. The only real solution seems to be to bypass the USB and use the analogue (phono) output, go through a phono pre-amp and record with your soundcard "Line In".
