I don't think that you can. I agree that it is a minor irritation and since wav files do not save metadata it would be better if it did not pop up.

I think that you have mis-read the post. The problem is the other way round: works ok using loop back, but only one channel when recording "Stereo Mix".

That's right, you don't need the VST brifdge for LADSPA plugins.
A good set of plugins to start with are "swh-plugins" which you can install with synaptic (Universe).

Are you copying the files onto your hard drive before you open them in Audacity? If not, try that.

From other posts on this forum, it seems to be an inherent problem with many USB TTs. The only real solution seems to be to bypass the USB and use the analogue (phono) output, go through a phono pre-amp and record with your soundcard "Line In".
