Re: Problems recording DJ please help me

Re: Audacity 1.3.3-Beta (Poss. Bug) - Crash after resample.

I'm not certain if this feature is in Audacity 1.3.3 (I use 1.3.4 in Xubuntu), but try looking in the "help" menu and see if there is a "Audio Device Info" option. If there is, check this carefully to see what sample rates ALSA supports for your selected playback and recording de...

Re: Feedback whle recording

Sorry normanh, there's not nearly enough information in your post to start diagnosing the problem. Are you on Windows, Linux, OSX or other? PC or Mac? Laptop or desktop? Are you connected with USB? What input is selected in you (Windows) Mixer? Also, this is an old thread, so you will probably get m...

Re: sonds like its under water

It's difficult to know what that "static" is without hearing it myself. One possibility is that it is just a poor built-in microphone (which would not be surprising). Another possibility is that it is "glitching" due to the data stream being interrupted. Do you have any other aud...

Re: DRIVER_CORRUPTED_MMPOOL

Just found this which looks relevant to your problem: Note that certain other custom devices or applications may similarly be incompatible with Audacity. A known example is the Total Recorder application which uses "virtual drivers" to capture sound directly before it reaches the inputs of...

Re: DRIVER_CORRUPTED_MMPOOL

A possible cause is that while you had all the other stuff on your machine, Audacity selected an invalid audio driver for playback/record. Audacity 1.2.6 saves its settings in the registry at HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareAudacity If you remove the registry settings for Audacity (best to back up the regi...

Re: Will Audacity work on a stand-alone digital file?

Just to confirm what WC has to say about the UCA-202, (since that's the one that I have), it is a simple plastic box with phono connectors (RCA) and a USB lead. No other controls or options. It's half the price of the Edirol and using it as a straight "line in" the sound quality is good (b...

Re: Why does the file size become so large?

That could explain the increase from 400 KB to 1 MB, but the first case was 400 KB to over 3MB, which sounds more like the difference between an MP3 and a WAV (approx 8:1)
