The noise removal effect is for removing low level, constant, background noise, such as tape hiss, or low level background hum. There are a number of techniques that may help, such as using the Equalization eff...

Re: Hellowww out there...
Your topic title is not very helpful, also you have not said which version of Audacity you are using, what platform you are on, or what steps you took to set the record timer.

Re: The Audacity of Spitfish!
My voice, recorded with Audacity, has sharp sss sounds which I would like to de-ess. The important question here is "why does it have sharp sss sounds"? It is much better to start with a good recording than to try and correct a bad one. Trying to correct a poor recording will often take a...

I don't think koz was specifically criticising you bfuhr, but it does get confusing when there are several enquiries in the same thread. In this ca...

Re: No Playback
All 1.3.x versions are beta. The latest is 1.3.4, but most Linux repo's (including Ubuntu) have got 1.3.3 for some reason (but I got 1.3.4 from the Ubuntu Gutsy back-port). Although it is still classed as beta, most people find 1.3.4 to be stable and (almost) bug free. The only problem that I've had...

Re: Samson C01U USB Microphone (Review)
I'm a bit confused - what are you wanting as your final recording, just the the vocal, or the vocal and the backing track?

Re: Exporting as MP3 creates reverb/echo in recording
I'd not say that the recording is bad, but it could be improved, so my comments here are made in the spirit of helping you to get better results and more satisfaction from your recording. There's a few things that I notice straight away: In the introduction at the beginning you've got a LOT of low b...
