Re: Amplify on Audacity
The new peak amplitude is.7, not zero as it should be THAT is the reason why the "OK" button is greyed out. Full-scale amplitude would measure as 0 dB, and signals less than that are measured as negative values. Any value greater than 0 dB will clip, but "allow clipping" is not ...

Re: Trouble Recording with Lexicon Lambda
however, I installed and used it with no problems on another computer so I am thinking it is a driver problem, Not necessarily a safe assumption - there are many other things that it could be. The thing with USB audio interfaces is that they are great when they work reliably, but a real pain when t...

Re: no sound during playback

"BANANA MILKSHAKES: Freeze banana. Break banana into pieces. Put in blender. Add 1 cup skim milk and blend. Makes 2 cups." Now let's see you isolate the banana and take it out of the milkshake. Even with the most advanced chemical extraction and filtering, it's not going to be anything lik...

Re: destorted recording levels

Re: Floating Point error in Labels
In the label file, the first number is the start of the labelled region and the second is the end. In the following example; The region "chirp" starts at 0.000000 seconds and ends at 30.783920 seconds (just under 31 seconds duration) The region "noise" starts at 30.783920 seconds...

Sorry AR, but you are hijacking someone else's question.
Please post your question on the appropriate board (Windows? Mac? Audacity 1.2? Audacity 1.3?)
Also please take care to describe the problem accurately. (I very much doubt that the figures you quote are the actual figures).
