Re: Muti OS users & hello

Assuming that you mean, as waxcylinder suggested, that you mean the OS that is part of your Forum profile, then I expect that most users of multiple OS's would select whichever they consid...

Re: Windows 8.1 still supported by Microsoft
It could possibly be worded better, but it is correct that: 1. Windows 7, 8 and Vista obsolete and no longer supported by Microsoft (but not Windows 8.1). 2. Audacity 2.4.2 is believed to work correctly on Windows 7, 8.1 and Vista. Audacity 2.4.2 has not been tested on Windows 8.1 because none of th...

Re: Seamless loop of engine sound
I feel like I'm missing something critical in this process. Looping "natural" ("real world" rather synthesized) sounds is difficult. This was my attempt (mono) car.wav With enough time spent, it would be possible to get a better loop, but assuming that when used it will be const...

Re: User friendlyness went downwards
when i select effects it will not only -not- recognise scrolling Are you referring to the "Effect menu" not recognising scrolling? I thought that had always been a problem for Audacity on Windows. Are you aware that when the Effect menu is open, you can press the first letter of an effect...

Re: Exporting as Wav Bit Rate Settings
With the current version of Audacity, "Export as WAV" uses the last used settings.
Before you run your Macro, generate or import a short audio track, and export as 24-bit WAV. Then "Undo" back to an empty project and run your script.
