Re: Vista Home Premium Problem
The easiest thing would probably be to try Audacity 1.3.4 which you can download here: http://audacityteam.org/download/beta_windows

Re: Missing about 1 second of the beginning of imported mp3
We need to establish exactly what the fault is before we can diagnose the cause. just import them into Audacity, are missing about 1 second or less of the beginning of the song. but when it's imported into Audacity, it cuts a few milliseconds from the beginning. There's a big difference between &quo...

Re: Best Way To Remaster Old Audio?
The "Best" way is to go back to the original 45's and record them directly into Audacity. If you "must" use the mp3's, then import the mp3 into Audacity and use the "Equaliser" effect to adjust the tone to what sounds best to you. There are some other effects that may g...

Re: Downloading and installing
By far the easiest and best way is to connect your laptop to the internet, then use Yast to install and update whatever software you want.

Re: mixer toolbar does not work
Unfortunately, the mixer control in Audacity is only supported by some audio devices/drivers and it appears that your is not one of them. For all other audio devices/drivers you must use an external mixer application (such as ALSA mixer, QAmix, etc.) This is not really an Audacity bug as such, it is...

Re: pressing Effect | Noise reduction crashes Audacity
I had to make the recording on a little flash radio/recorder because Audacity, or any software will not record through my audio card.Maybe these two are related. I don't think that these problems will be related (though I could be wrong). Enabling recording is likely to be a matter of configuring y...

Re: Missing about 1 second of the beginning of imported mp3
Could you upload a small example of one of these problem files and post a link so that we can see if we can reproduce the problem.
