Re: Export file/apply Chain

There is an option in "Edit > Preferences > Batch" that is supposed to do it, and sometimes it does.

Re: recording guitar problem

When I record my voice, it is very realistic. Is the problem my microphone . Quite possibly, but also try changing the position of the microphone relative to the guitar - the sound in front of the sound hole will be very different from the sound above the bridge, and different again from the sound ...

Re: Leading silence and Ogg export

I presume that you are using the "Time Shift Tool" to make the gap before the start of the track? Rather than doing that, select the track, click on the "Rewind" button, and then select "Generate > Silence". This will insert silence at the beginning of the track that wi...

Re: Metadata and Uncompressed File Formats?

I was surprised to discover that 1.3beta allows you to add metadata to .wav files. Mainly because I didn't think this was possible - I didn't think wavs (unlike, say, mp3s) had anywhere to carry such data! Re: vocal pitch adjusting

GSnap is a VST effect, so it will require the VST bridge for Audacity, however I do not know if it is compatible with MACs. Also, due to the limitations of the VST Bridge (no support for VST graphical interface) it looks like it will be rather difficult to use. Sorry I don't know of any Nyquist or L...

Re: New sound card. Can't record in Audacity

Is this an "on-board" sound card (built into the motherboard? If it is, then it is probably not quite the same as your old one, but either way, it sounds like the way that the driver is implemented is different. You should still be able to access the various settings via the Windows mixer ...

Re: Can't record sound.

The help files are no longer included in Audacity, but are available on line:
http://audacityteam.org/help/

If you still require assistance, could you re-post this question on the board that is appropriate to the version of Audacity, and the operating system that you are using.
