You just need to create a stereo track first.kozikowski wrote: Audacity does not easily generate stereo tones

Re: recording problem with microphone input
I checked the Recording Control properties window in the Sounds and Audio Devices Properties, it's not muted. Hopefully that's what you mean by the windows mixer. I actually meant a Mixer application/control panel for the audio device that is accessed from an icon in the sys tray (near the clock) -...

But what about the project settings? ("Edit > Preferences > Quality")Liamini wrote:I thought I posted a response to this? Ah well … Everything is ripped at 16-bit but Audacity quits before I can even get to that point.

Re: AUMatrixReverb won't work anymore
Try the Freeverb or GVerb plug-ins,
I prefer the Freeverb, but some users have problems with it or just prefer the GVerb plug-in.

Re: Where has wave option gone in Audacity using Vista 64
Audacity uses your computers sound system drivers. Some drivers allow Audacity to control them, but an increasing number do not, in which case you must use the Windows interface (Windows Control Panel / Windows Mixer), or an interface provided by the sound card manufacturer. With XP I could choose w...

On Windows, I would use SUPER, but there are several other free format converters.

Re: Waveform not symmetrical
I tested the Line Input of my sound card with another source. The source was a diskette player. It does not show the abrupt negative transition. So might this be an electrical problem? or a mechanical problem with the record player ? It certainly sounds like a problem with the turntable. As koz was...

Re: clipping at 1/2 levels... ? (presonus firebox)
I can also record at 32 bit, but the box certainly does not support that depth... If you look in "Help > Audio Device Info" you will see a list of all the devices and formats that Audacity can use with your hardware. Audio devices may support various recording formats that are in addition...

Re: M-Audio Delta 1010LT and Audacity
Anyone ever taken a wild stab with aiso4all over WDM in Audacity? There have been a few people that have tried it, but the same thing seems to apply - It does not work with the standard versions of Audacity, it still needs to be compiled from source with ASIO support. I've come across one person wh...
