Is there a way to recover that second file with the whole two hours on it. From your detailed description, it sounds unlikely. The .aup file needs the data from the data folder, but data without an .aup file is just as useless. You understand the difference between "Save" and "Export...

You don't say "laptop", so assuming that it isn't, buy yourself a PCI soundcard. On-board sound cards rarely give good results, so a PCI soundcard is an excellent upgrade for any kind of audio work. It doesn't have to be expensive, but don't go for the cheapest you can find either.

Click on "File" menu and select "Import" then select "Audio".

Try playing with the "Transcription Tool" to find the % change in speed that you need. For example, If setting the "transcription speed" to 1.3 makes the tempo correct, then use the "change speed effect and set it to 130%. If setting the "transcription speed" to 0....
