Re: NTSC frames
Very curious indeed. I've just tried it in English, French and Spanish, and they all work correctly (29.97 fps). Perhaps you have some corruption somewhere, or running the Windows 98/ME version on XP? I've really no idea. The only suggestion I can think of is to download a fresh copy from http://aud...

Re: Exported wav file won't play in Windows Media Player
I've heard of other people having this problem, but not with WAV files at 44.1 / 16 WMP will not always play 32 bit wav files, or 48 kHz WAV files, but I've not heard of it failing with 16 bit 44.1 kHz. Could you post a short sample WAV file on the internet somewhere and post a link so that we can l...

Re: NTSC frames
OK, I've tried it with Audacity 3.1.4 beta (Unicode) on Win XP Pro SP2 Again I get 37:46.848 = 2266.848 seconds = 67937 NTSC frame Is this problem repeatable? If you generate a tone exactly 16 minutes and 40 seconds duration, what length does Audacity report in NTSC frames? (At the moment I've no id...

Re: transferring audio from recorded videos to audacity
You don't say what format the videos are in, but you can probably do it with SUPER from erightsoft.

Re: Exported wav file won't play in Windows Media Player
It sounds like a problem with WMP. Maybe it's looking for a DRM license or something stupid like that.
Is there any particular reason why you want to use WMP? I can think of lots of reasons not to.

Re: NTSC frames
37:46.827 = 2266.827 seconds Your pictures show 37:46.848 (2266.848 seconds), and 65738 frames, not 37:46.827 (2266.827) seconds and 65737 NTSC frames, but that still works out wrong. When I run your test I get: 37:46.848 = 2266.848 = 67937 NTSC frames which looks about right to me. I'm using Audac...

Re: VIDEO
I do a bit of video editing myself (at work), but that's on a Windows machine. There's a lot of bad editors for Windows as well, but I've finally got something reliable - Adobe Premier on a computer specifically built for media production. It's very difficult to get a good, stable platform for video...

Re: Need help time is running out!
s there a way that I could manipulate the announcers voice to sound like mine, It would be easier to make your voice sound like a radio broadcast voice from the 1930's - using the "Eqalisation effect to cut out low and high frequencies will go a long way, then add a bit of noise, a bit of crac...

Re: Exported wav file won't play in Windows Media Player
Set the Project sample rate to 44100 Hz, and export WAVs as 16 bit - they should play in anything then.

Re: Jerky cursor makes editing difficult
I have been known to delete an unwanted segment of audio by chopping away at it. First get rid of most of it, then zoom in and get rid of more. In two of three of those, you're down to the point where you can see individual parts of spoken words and both in and out are on the same timeline. I've of...
