Re: Losing label focus

A "Single" click directly on the text should do the trick.

Re: High Pass Filter of Nyquist Script HELP!!!

*i'll delete this post before others get displeased (in a week or later).* I don't think there is any need to do that at all - the Nyquist Scripting feature is one are that is very much neglected on this forum so it is very good to see some posts about it. If I could make a few little suggestions t...

Re: built-in EQ and filtering commands add artifacts?

I have found this problem quite intriguing - with a bit of experimentation I have managed to reproduce your error, and also produce the correct results. In fact I have managed to produce many variations depending on exactly what methodology I adopted. I have not yet been able to establish why some o...

Re: compatible soundcards

the slider bar is greyed out in Audacity That's not unusual, and it should not be a problem. It is just a shortcut to your sound system controls, but only works if the sound system drivers support it (which many newer device drivers do not). Why am I getting very low volume levels on recording? I'v...

Re: Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron - lots of bugs

Hey Steve, I found a fix (for now); I downgraded to the stable version of Audacity and things are working for now. When team Audacity gets their excrement together and releases a stable version of the latest and greatest then I'll get on the train. The new version of Audacity looks great though . -...

Re: reboot on starting Autacdity 1.2.6

I believe that Audacity should work with Win2k and as I do not have Win2k I'm scratching around in the dark for a solution. Start with a clean boot of Win2k, then close down all non-essential applications and processes. Then try opening Audacity and see if that is any better (it's possible that some...

Re: Orphaned blockfile (Audacity 1.3.4-beta on Gentoo)

Sorry, I was a bit hasty there and didn't read the post properly /home/anders/Studio/sessions_audacity/ritmo/test_data/e00/d00/e000042f.au "e000042f.au" is an audacity data file - there will be a load of them in the data folder for each saved project. When you create a project and save it,...

Re: it used to record but not now?

I don't have Vista, so I'm not sure exactly how you get at the Windows mixer settings but I thought that there would have been a "Tab" for the recording settings. Perhaps the "Vista" section on this page may help: http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php? ... bar_Issues

Re: Orphaned blockfile (Audacity 1.3.4-beta on Gentoo)

Not sure without testing it, but I think that you may have some junk data stuck in the temporary folder. Open Audacity and look in "Edit > Preferences > Directories" to see where your "temporary files directory" is located. Close Audacity and then go to that directory and delete ...
