Re: Audio formats

...anyway. The Apple lossless seems to have the ability to achieve a much higher volume without any clipping than the MP3 did. Also, it doesn't seem to be as effected by the EQ as much as the MP3s did. ... So koz has already answered this, but this is soch a juicy question :) The important word in ...

Re: Monitoring using USB mic...delay in headphone playback

Re: play through too slow

Software playthrough will always give a noticeable delay. If you are recording with a conventional PCI or on-board sound card, it is usually possible to set the WINDOWS MIXER so that it will play both the audio playback from Audacity and the audio input from your sound card simultaneously. If you ar...

Re: From ProTools to Audacity?

Volta-x disagrees with the majority of users on this forum. Most users find that Audacity 1.3.4 is considerably superior to the older 1.2 version, however you can install both versions and make up your own mind. Re: Skipping in playback

I'm running vista (if that matters). I'm listening (and recording) through a USB headset (if that also makes any difference). Yes they both make a difference. The audio system in Vista imposes various problems which are not there in XP. Vista also requires a huge amount more RAM, CPU, hard disk spa...

Re: From ProTools to Audacity?

Audacity does not provide a drop in replacement for ProTools and there are many things that ProTools can do that Audacity can not. Howev...
