Re: Different waveforms on oscilloscope and Audacity

Both YouTube and MP3 encoding involve "lossy" (inexact) encoding. The encoded waveform is an approximation of the input signal, but one of the things that is ignored (because it's not audible) is the relative phase of frequency components. Changing the phase of some frequencies in a wavefo...

Re: Lame buit-in is not compatible with older-lame version

Previous versions of Audacity ignored MP3 errors, but that could cause worse problems down the line (such as projects crashing and destroying hours of work). Audacity now catches the problems on import before they do any damage.

I just hope the configuration stays between restarts It should. I am not sure if it is possible to detect this issue Unfortunately Audacity cannot detect that, because it happens in PulseAudio before Audacity. Re: aac/m4a 10 Channel Export

You will need to use an encoder that supports 10 channels. Audacity's "FFmpeg libvo_aacenc" only supports up to 8 channels.
Perhaps you could use OGG instead?

Re: Tracks will not play automatically

I suspect that the problem is that you've made a "data CD" rather than an "audio CD". An "audio CD" is similar to a music CD that you might buy, and are playable on most CD players. A "Data CD" contains files (any sort of file, not just audio files). Some CD p...

Re: Lame buit-in is not compatible with older-lame version

Where did that MP3 file come from? Is it one that you made with Audacity, or did you download it from somewhere?

The error message means that the MP3 file has an unrecoverable error in the header.
