Re: Exporting loop points to WAV
Audacity does not at present support loop points. Even if it did, that would not be enough. People would then want Audacity to play loops. They would want to be able to see both ends of a loop simultaneously. They would want automated loop point detection. They would want beat slicing, audio scrub, ...

Re: Converting Mono to Stereo in Batch (after recording)
So the test tone that I uploaded for you, does it play out of one speaker, or both speakers?

Re: Recording From DFX Audio Enhancer
I paste 0.040 seconds of silence in one of the tracks (left or right channels of the stereo track) which results in the music being a little louder, the music sounding "softer" (i.e. richer) and also getting the surround sound effect. So you are introducing a delay into one channel, of 0....

Re: Temp files filling up HD when using chains
The only solution at the moment is to run smaller batches (or get a bigger hard drive).
Audacity only cleans up when you exit the program, however, this is a known problem, and is something that the developers are looking to improve in later versions.

Re: Bugs with seek keyboard shortcut
Hi roewen I these navigation buttons should work OK while playback is stopped, but on some platforms they don't work while playing. As far as I can tell, this seems to be to do with the sound system on the machine and whether it is able to do the jump and maintain its synch. The latest version for U...

Re: effects & small audio clips
@ robn Can you be a bit more specific about what you are doing: ie. I have imported a 1 second wav file, I select it by pressing Ctrl+A then select "Equalization" from the effects menu.... (or whatever it is that you are doing). @ Elena Hi, I guess you're new to forums and how they work. C...

Re: No microphone / line in tab option on Audacity
The problem I have is during the tutorial, there are instructions referring to a tab box to select microphone / line in on Audacity They are probably refering to the WINDOWS MIXER rather than to anything in Audacity. This page has a section about it for Vista: http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php...

Re: Converting Mono to Stereo in Batch (after recording)
A mono MP3 should play through both sides of your headphones without any adjustment. Your media player should simply duplicate the signal to both channels. Try downloading this 10 second test tone and see if it plays through both sides of your headphones. If it doesn't then there's something wrong w...

Re: Improving quality of Poor Tape to CD Conversion
There are several versions of Dolby, and some mess around with the dynamics more than others. The chances are in favor of Dolby B, which is not too bad in this respect. The approach that I would take, is to use the Noise Removal effect to take out most of the hiss, then use the graphic equalizer to ...

Re: Recording trouble
Find the speaker icon in the bottom right of the screen (near the clock) and double click on it. This should bring up a mixer application - usually the WINDOWS MIXER. You need to find the "Record" settings, and switch off "Stereo Mix" as the recording input, and select "Line...
