Re: Burning CD's "
I've not got an MP3 ready CD player, but my DVD payer can play MP3 CD's. For that I just make Data CD's, and put my MP3's on it.

Re: Burning CD's "
Standard CD's, if you want them to play in ordinary CD players, must conform to the "Red Book Standard". Part of this standard is that the audio should be in a format of 16 bit, 44.1kHz uncompressed WAV. Some CD players will play CD's that are not Red Book standard, but most will not. MP3'...

Re: Using LADSPA plugins in chains
Your correct, plug-ins cannot be used in chains. However, if you want to apply the same effect to lots of files, import the files into the same project, (they will load as separate tracks), then use Ctrl+A to select all, then choose your effect. The effect should then be applied to each track. Unfor...

Re: Massive memory leaks in 1.3.5
That seems very strange, memory usage for Windows and Linux is considerably lower. The only way I can get memory usage much over 20MB is to enable memory audio cache in "Edit > Preferences > Directories" Where it says "Hold recorded audio in memory until recording is stopped" is ...

The Mac version has been changed very recently, you may need to try again in a day or two.

Audacity does not burn CDs.
My personal favorite CD burning program (Windows) is Nero.

Re: Clipfix (see waveform pic) - plugins available?
I've actually just added clipfix.ny ..... to Audacity source code, so that it will be part of Audacity under the effect menu. Cool :) I think it reconstructs more of the nuances than declipper in the Steve Harris set does. I agree. They work slightly differently as well. The "declipper" s...

Re: Blind user asks for help with tracks' editing
I'm a little confused by your hot key selection maurimol . When you say in step 2: "I drop the left selection (cursor) by hitting the I (I choose this letter as hot key)" And in step 4: "I drop the right selection by pressing the o key (again that's the key I decided to choose for rig...

Re: Pulling audio from previous tracks to new track
It's not Audacity causing the problem, but the Windows sound system. Your Windows sound system is recording everything that is being sent to the speakers ("Stereo Mix", sometimes called "Mix" or "What U Hear") instead of just the mic input. You need to find the speaker ...

Re: Audacity won't recognize Snowball mic
How can I find out I/O settings for Snowball mic in Audacity? The usual setting to screw things up is the sample rate. "Edit > Preferences > Quality" You will need to check the Snowball documentation for the correct setting, though I would guess 48000. Also check that the Snowball USB is ...
