We seem to be having a bit of difficulty interpreting your question Axe.
In Audacity 1.3.4, you can repeat a section in Audacity by selecting the section (or the whole track if that is what you want to repeat) then selecting "Repeat" from the "Effects" menu.

Re: Various in 1.2.4 on XP: playing, export, genre
Version 1.2 4 is ancient and obsolete. 1) sounds like the computer is struggling to keep up - have you defragmented your hard drive recently? Do you have more than 10% free disk space? Is your anti-virus program interfering? How many non-essential processes are also running? 2) and 3) - as Jan said,...

Re: Can't record
Using Kontact with Sibelius, you can export directly as a WAV file - no need to record.
Export from Sibelius as a WAV file, then import the WAV file into Audacity for editing.

Re: looking for vocal fx/filters and settings you've used
Sounds like your asking for opinions and personal experience, so here goes: I don't use VST with Audacity, I stick with LADSPA and Nyquist plug-ins. I usually prefer to use a large diaphragm condenser mic for vocals rather than a dynamic, but whatever... Microphone position utmost importance, partic...

Re: Matching EQ
After reading the response from koz, and completely agreeing with what he says, I would totally contradict him and say "no, there is no no more scientific method". I have come across "spectrum profiling plug-ins" and they work to some degree, but at the end of the day, the algori...

"Sawtooth" wave works well also.galeandrews wrote:To work well it needs to be some kind of waveform containing a wide range of frequencies with a lot of energy. White noise fits this description. Another carrier wave that would work well would be a synthesized string chord.
