Re: Any comments on Roxio Creator CD burner s/w?
I used Roxio Creator DE Easy Creator for several years before I discovered Nero. Nero and Roxio are the 2 super-heavyweights in the CD burning world. Both offer extensive suites of CD related software and are very capable burners. Exactly what software is included depends on which version you have, ...

Re: recording issue
When you apply the "Amplify" effect, it will be set automatically to the maximum amount of amplification that can be applied without clipping. why are my mp3's coming out so quiet? Compared with what? Many DJ mixes have the dynamics compressed to a huge extent to make them sound louder. Th...

Re: 1.3.4.0 Always crashes at approx. 10.3secs recording
Thank you for posting the picture - very strange indeed.
I've not come across this problem before and have no idea what the cause is, but I'm pleased that 1.3.5 works for you.
Were you using a USB audio device by any chance? If so, are you still using it with Audacity 1.3.5?

Re: RealTek + Audacity Problems.
Followed every step before that, but I still couldn't hear anything coming from my microphone. Hmm, that should be working unless, I've missed something. You are using XP Pro SP2, and have a "RealTek HD" sound card. The "RealTek HD" sound card is the only audio device on your sy...

Re: Blind user asks for help with tracks' editing
Hello again maurimol. I think something went slightly wrong with the text editing in your last post, but I think I've understood the post correctly. I can't speak for the others that have contributed to this thread, but I would be interested in hearing what you have recorded / edited. I don't unders...

Re: Equalizer Graphics
....I want pinstripes inside the equalizer work window to tell me where I am. Quick, point to a place 4 dB down at 7500 Hz. Koz I've been thinking about this suggestion every time I use the Equalization effect (and the "plot spectrum") and yes I agree, a "graph paper background"...

Re: MP3 editing-to make song longer.
@GuitarMike jan's suggestion is the only tool in Audacity that may be able to do it, but the chances are that it will not work because it will only remove audio that is panned dead center in the mix. There are millions of students doing their music exams that want such-and-such a piece of music with...

Re: Apple Effect plugins
I've no idea about using Apple filters/effects with Audacity, but there are literally hundreds of free LADSPA/Nyquist plug-ins available for Audacity - check out the main web site or Google for "Audacity plugins"

Re: Step Demuxer
I mean, as I see and understand the code. Well you're one ahead of me there jan. I've not looked at the code (and I probably wouldn't understand it if I did), but I applied my knowledge of "multiplexing" to the descriptions given in the little documentation we had available, then compared...
