Re: Audacity don't recording cassettes anymore
We have had a bit of a chat about this problem and find it puzzling. Re: lost sound after saving .aup file
When you "Save a Project", you loose the ability to "undo" any destructive edits (Volume envelopes can still be changed, but cuts and deletes become irreversible). All tracks and audio clips in the project are retained in their current position. You can carry on editing at a late...

Re: Beta Record Problem with Line-in
"Almost 3x the speed" seems to be a new phenomena - which (exact) version is this with? Audacity 1.3.5? Windows XP? Vista?

Re: Click Track....
but I don't actually use Audacity for mixing You should try it - it's non-real time, but you can achieve great accuracy very easily. or can find time to explain it yourself, that woul be great In brief (and I'm using Audacity 1.3.4) - create a single click on an otherwise silent track - then trim t...

Re: Reversing stereo?
Yes - Import the file into Audacity, click on the little arrow near the track name and you will get a drop down menu. Select "Split stereo track" from that menu. You will now have two track. For each of those tracks, click on the little black arrow (triangle) again and set the left channel...

Re: lost sound after saving .aup file
As before, the work flow that suits you best will depend on how you use Audacity. Much of the time I work on small snippets of sound (sound effects) and I need to work quickly, so I throw caution to the wind and don't bother with any backups until I'm ready to export, then just keep a backup copy as...

Re: RPM Installation error for Mandriva-One 2008 Spring
In the absence of any linux gurus, it might be an idea to try a more noob-friendly distro. I use a version of Ubuntu and software installation is generally dead easy using the Synaptic Package Manager. Some very user friendly distros that I've tried: Linux Mint (K/X)Ubuntu Freespire Simply Mepis It'...

Re: Audacity don't recording cassettes anymore
Thanks for having a look koz and WC, but that does not really help Esceha to get it working again. According to his first post, Audacity 1.2.6 was previously working, but is no longer. Any ideas?
