Mouse wheel = vertical scroll
SHIFT + Mouse wheel = horizontal scroll

"Audacity Projects" are made of two parts: filename .aup is the Audaciy Project file filename _data is a folder that contains data for the audacity project. Audacity requires both the AUP file and the data to be available. Audacity 1.2.x files can be opened in Audacity 1.3.x Audacity 1.3.x...

It sounds like you have some sort of "noise reduction" or "automatic gain control" happening with your headset or sound card that is messing things up. Headset microphones have been found to often give very poor results with recording because they are designed for other purposes ...

I don't see any reason not to use the 9v battery, other than the volume of the microphone might be a little wacky. A lot of electret microphone capsules are rated up to about 10v, however you should ideally check the specification of the capsule that is being used. "Standard" PC microphon...

The plug-ins should go in the plug-in folder which is in the Audacity program folder.
