Re: Nyquist Did Not Return Audio error
The standard (built in) "Change Speed" is a LADSPA effect, not a Nyquist effect, so I'm not sure why Nyquist should be involved at all. Does "Change speed" work when applied to a track in the current project (not using chains)? Do you get the same problem when applying the chain ...

Re: Equipment to record a meeting
I regularly use a Zoom H2 recorder. It will easily record everyone in the room, although depending on the room you will get a certain amount of reverberation (echoes). Cost is a little under $200 US, but that includes microphones, recording media (flash memory), headphones, power adaptor, and wind s...

Re: unable to record with delta 1010LT
I seem to remember a post where a user (possibly alatham) mentioned having problems with delta 1010LT when using the latest drivers for it, but an earlier driver worked correctly.
Re: Lame mp3
Just to confirm - the links on http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php? ... stallation for downloading LAME are correct and working - LAME is free open source software and does not require WinRar.

Re: Bug in 1.3.5: 24 bit to 16 bit WAV export or import
Yes, there seems to be an issue here - it is the same on Linux. When the default project rate is set to 24 bit, it will not import 16 bit files correctly. How very strange - I've not updated Audacity, but I can't reproduce the problem now. 16bit (Not recommended. Do that only If you are not going t...

Re: MP3 files truncated
BTW, the fade out feature of WMP would not take out 12 minutes of my lecture. Something else is going on here. Yes indeed, I commented on that in a previous post: I've just re-read the earlier post by johnrgentry: johnrgentry wrote: "when I export the file as an mp3 file the last 12 minutes (a...

Re: Curve diagram for pitch and speed
Does there also exist a tutorial, which explains how it works? I had a quick look, but didn't find one. It's pretty simple though. Click on the track name to set the range, then use the "Envelope Tool" to move the "speed line" up and down. Going higher makes the audio play faste...

Re: How do I clean up a taped telephone conversation
Th "telephone bandpass" in Audition is not exactly for "cleaning up" telephone calls, although it may have some "cleaning" effect. One of the properties of sound is "frequency" - how high or low the pitch of the sound is, and is measured in "Hertz" (...

Re: Envelope
The envelope tool should work fine in the current beta version. It's difficult to know why you are having a problem without seeing it, but this is what the wiki says about using the envelope tool: http://audacityteam.org/manual-1.2/toolbar.html Note: there seems to be a small error in the manual: &q...
