Re: Unwanted Concert Hall Effects
The only other CD player in the house isn't in the house. Lol. You have such a turn of phrase koz. I'm using Windows Media Player 9. Ugh. Have you tried playing it with Foobar 2000 or some other player? http://www.foobar2000.org/ The individual sound clips I prepared for the CD are in Audacity 1.2....

Re: How can I add effects to audacity 1.3 beta?
This is the "Audacity Stable (1.2.x) ‹ Windows" part of the forum.
Which plug-ins have you downloaded and what are the file names (and where are they from, if you can remember).
What sort of plug-ins are they? Nyquist, LADSPA, VST or something else?

Re: low pass filter with overtones
I expect that it could be done with Nyquist, but it would be a rather complex project, and not one that I have come across by anyone else. Have you done any programming, in particular any Lisp (XLisp) programming? If not, then I would suggest starting with something a lot simpler. Nyquist is not a d...

Re: Record and Playback Speed
For clarification, were you running Audacity and the Power Point Presentation on the same machine at the same time? If so, then that is probably the cause. You may be able to salvage the recording using Audacity 1.3.5 Export the track as a wav file first, and make a backup copy as well. Note that yo...

Re: recording multi channel m-audio fast track ultra
It all depends on the device drivers. Audacity does not support ASIO drivers, it uses the standard Windows drivers, and it only supports a single instance of any any recording device. Some (naughty) sound cards achieve multiple channels by using multiple instances of 2 channel drivers rather than a ...

Re: Low amplitude recorded from CD
I played an audio CD in Winamp, and recorded a stereo track in Audcacity 1.2.6, 44.1khz. WinAmp has an "output plug-in" called "Disk writer". I think it is included as standard. If you select the Disk writer as the output instead of the sound card, and then play music in WinAmp,...

Re: Setting Clock for Timed Recording
My computer clock right now says 5:01pm (17:01 24hour time) and Audacity says 00h 01m 32s, exactly seven hours ahead of my computer clock. How very odd :? What time zone are you in? Is your Vista version a specific nationalised version? Do you have your clock synchronised to internet time? If so, d...
