Re: Extract a vocal from a song AND KEEP THE VOCAL
"voxReducer Kit is designed to reduce the level of the main vocal track in a stereo music audio file" This is a commercial program that costs $24.95USD, why not use the free "Center Pan Remover" plug-in for Audacity. See here for details: http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php?ti...

Re: Trouble with Gverb effect
What happens when I add reverb is the bass in the beginning sounds like knocking or banging. It sounds like adding the reverb effect is pushing up the level of your audio too high causing it to clip (banging into the +1.0 and -1.0 on the vertical scale) Starting with a clean audio track, Check that...

Try using Audacity 1.3.5 (development on 1.2.x ended a long time ago - all being well Audacity 1.4 (stable) will be released soon).

Re: Choosing left OR right channel for Mono recording?
After you split the stereo track you can set either of the two tracks to play through the left channel, right channel, or both channels (mono). You do this by clicking on the track name and selecting the option from the drop down menu. When set to mono the track may be panned left or right as you wi...

Re: exporting 32-bit file as FLAC?
Your 32 bit files are actually 32 bit float. 32 bit float have 24 bits as the fractional part and an extra 8 bit exponent. These extra 8 bits allow manipulation of the data with virtually zero loss, however when you are Importing or Exporting the data, it is the 24 bits that matter, and exporting as...

"Edit > Preferences > Audio I/O"
Select "Play other tracks while recording new one"
(do not select "software playthrough" as that will cause a significant delay)

Re: where did "generate > click track" go?
The clicktrack plug-in should be included in Audacity 1.3.5 Perhaps you have a partially broken download (bits missing). Try downloading Audacity again from the main Audacity web site: http://audacityteam.org/download/beta_windows Download the Audacity 1.3.5 installer (.exe file, 3,0 MB) for Windows...

Re: recording through M-Box
M-Box does not come up as an option in the Windows control panel for recording either. You need to fix that first. It sounds like you do not have the correct drivers available. I have downloaded WDW Do you mean WDM drivers? They may be the wrong ones, or not installed correctly. Until you have the ...
