Re: !.2.4. on Windows XP - various: play, export, genre

Unless I'm very much mistaken, this question seems to be in English :o

Audacity 1.2.4 is obsolete - try a current version.

Re: installing nyquist eq into audacity

If all the effects are "greyed out" it is because you do not have any audio selected.

Re: problem solved but only temporarily

Is this related to your other post: http://audacityteam.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=4025&p=24494#p24494 Audacity does not change the settings in Sounds and Audio Devices, so if it is changing, then there must be something else that is causing it to change. Note that when Windows loads dri...

Re: mixer toolbar--Windows XP

Don't worry about the drop down menu - because of how audio drivers have changed since Audacity 1.2 was written, there are frequently problems with it. Instead, try this method: Plug in the microphone and ensure that it detected by Windows before you open Audacity. Open Audacity and go to "Edit...

Re: noise reduction sampling crashes audacity 1.3.5

Is there a possiblity the Noise Removal utility like many PhotoShop plugins is written to be used at a specific sampling rate? It shouldn't be, however, thanks to your suggestion I can now reproduce the problem. Linux, Audacity 1.3.5 Set "Project Rate" to 8000 or 16000 Select a portion of...

Re: Massive memory leaks in 1.3.5

A chain I created reads the MP3 file, changes tempo, and exports it back as an MP3. Audacity eats up memory and temp file space! It releases both when it quits, but while it is running it makes life miserable for all other programs. And it limits the number of files I can process at a time, so I ha...

Re: Does anyone use Audacity for Re-Edits?

Note that MP3 is a "lossy" format. Decoding and re-encoding MP3's will always result in some loss of sound quality. Re-editing WAV files is much better. Use the latest version of Audacity that is available for your computer (1.3.x) and that has many of the most useful effects included with...

Re: Anti-Aliasing Part of High-Sinc Interpolation Resampler?

If you mean "dithering", yes it is included and is set up in "Edit > Preferences > Quality"
The default settings work best for most purposes but may be changed if you have some specific reason to do so.
