Re: Making a Single Pitch (beta version)

Oh and the 1.2.x forum told me to come here instead. Not exactly :D On this whole forum, there's a rather limited number of experienced Audacity users that try to help out other users. We also try to keep the forum tidy so that people can find there way round, and hopefully find useful information....

Re: Making a Single Pitch

In Audacity 1.3.5 you can create a "Time track" that may help you to achieve your objective.

Re: need to recover files

Any thoughts on where I might find some directions on basic Audacity functions? Like just cut, paste, export ... For Audacity 1.2.6, see the help section on the main Audacity web-site. (particularly the tutorials). For Audacity 1.3.x (and 1.4 when released) see the tutorials in the "wiki"...

Re: Audio length

Have you found the "Zoom in" "zoom out" tools?
They look like magnifying glasses.

If the sounds in Left and right are exactly the same, it will produce mono in the centre.
Try using the time shift tool to move the left OR right about 30 milliseconds later.

Are you looking in the right place?

Re: Splitting file by specifying time? -- Version 2

I'm not sure that I exactly understand what you mean, but in the selection toolbar, try selecting "Length" instead of "End" and see if it does what you want.
