Re: Splitting file by specifying time? -- Version 2

OK, I think I see what you mean. If I do understand; the solution would be to set a new label (Ctrl+B) for your adjusted selection, then delete the old one (click on the name, delete the label name if there is one, then click the del. button again to delete the label). Alternatively, for precise ali...

Re: Noise Removal

Heck, that's a lot of noise.
Do you get the same thing recording in all locations, or just at the church?
Do you get the noise if you run the laptop from batteries instead of from the mains power adaptor?

Re: Warnings compiling VST Enabler

Excellent - how well does it work?
Fancy writing any tutorials / tips for Linux users? It sounds like you know what you are doing and we are rather lacking in Linux expertise on the forum.

Re: Recorded too loud, remove the excess?

Even if ClipFix works, it may not sound quite right in the final show. When Clipfix repairs the damage, it is essentially just extrapolating the curves at either side of the damage (with a bilinear function) so it is by no means accurate to what should have been there, but in practice it can work e...

Grab the meter toolbar with your mouse an d move it - you can stretch it to full screen width which makes monitoring muc...

Re: BASIC RECORDING

Open the RECORDING settings of your sound card mixer application (usually the Windows Mixer) - you can usually access this from the loudspeaker icon near to the system clock. Make sure that you have "Stereo Mix" selected as the input (sometimes called "Mix" or "What U Hear&q...

Re: Warnings compiling VST Enabler

Is this for Linux? For other platforms the VST enabler is a binary and does not need compiling. If it's Linux, then sorry, I don't know. You're probably the first person on this forum to ever try that. The most successful way I've come across for running VST effects on Linux is to use Reaper in WINE...

Re: Recording problem

"Importing" vinyl? You mean recording?
Are you using a USB turntable? If not, how have you got it set up? Can you record successfully from other sources?
