Re: Recording "slows down" after one hour of recording
There's about 51 hours record time left on the D drive, the C drive only has windows installed, By default, Audacity stores its data in a temporary folder on the C: drive, so free space on the C: drive is important. Once you have "Saved" the project, Audacity will use the project data fol...

Re: Strange "DC" problem. Need help....
I think this problem is most likely a hardware problem. You could try recording at a different bit depth (say 16 bit) to see if the sound card behaves any better (though I'd be surprised if it makes any difference. Re: Pop noise
If the audio on the recording goes right up to the end of the track, then if you zoom in very close you may notice that the final "sample" is left hanging somewhere above the "zero" line. This would account for a small "click" as the sound card drops its audio output do...

Re: Speed changes when I resample
To change the sample rate, do not use the drop down track menu (this will cause a speed change as you have noticed). Instead, change the "Project Rate" in the project rate box on the selection tool bar (bottom left by default). This will cause your exported audio to be at the sample rate s...

Re: e q preview
Yes there's a known problem with the Eq on the current beta version of Audacity. There have been some code changes in 1.3.6 (still "alpha" so not yet released) that will hopefully fix the problem. the one thing I would really like is "real time "eq , See this thread: http://audac...

Re: allow playback start close to playback cursor
It may be because I'm on Linux that I can't reproduce this problem, or it may be that you have "snap to" selected in the "Selection Toolbar".
