I thought you had a Zoom H2?
You'll not get better quality than that without paying a lot more money.

Re: Using Reroute from Reaper to Audacity
Audacity does not have ASIO support unless you build it from the source code with ASIO support. Even then I can't guarantee that it will work.

Re: not sure what recording equipment
I have been advised to get a couple of headphones with mics If you mean those headphones that have a microphone on a little arm - forget it. They're OK for Skype, but rubbish for recording (unless you are paying a few hundred $'s for them). I'd highly recommend the Zoom H2 recorder. I'm not sure wh...

Re: Mike wont work and cant play files
nor can I get the opened files to play as when I press Play all I get it a quick twanging noise as a vertical line passes for a split second through the wave form. That is usually due to trying to play an unsupported format. Have a look for a WAV file and try playing that(In Windows, right click on...

Re: import mp3 at Opensuse 11.0
You don't need LAME for importing mp3's, just exporting them.
Do you have support for mp3's in your operating system? (can you play mp3's with other applications?)

Re: I need to increase my audio output volume
When you record, you should set the levels in the Recording levels in the Windows Mixer (loudspeaker icon near to the system clock) so that you have a strong, but not overly loud recording. Here is a screen shot of three stereo tracks: The top stereo track has been recorded too quietly, the middle t...

Re: How to fix partial sample rate speed-up?
How would I go about checking my sound card (IBM Thinkpad, builtin) for problems? Not very easily with a built in sound card. First check your computer out - full virus, spyware and adware scan. Check how much free disk space you have and that your hard drive does not need defragmenting. You should...

Re: unrequested pitch change
This is usually caused by a faulty clock signal on the sound card. (a hardware problem) Hello, any idea about how to solve this porblem? First you need to check that it really is a hardware problem- the best way to do this for sound cards that are not integral to the mother board, is to try the sou...

Re: I need to increase my audio output volume
Assuming this is a single track recording: Before you do the final "Export" step, select "Normalize" from the effects menu. Tick check both boxes, and enter the number 1 in the text box, then click OK. Unless there are any loud clicks or thumps spoiling your recording, you should...
