Re: High speed clicks afterrecording new tacks
You've not given many clues there. What's your machine? What are you recording? Why are you using an obsolete version of Audacity? ..... My guess - you're recording from a ION USB turntable and the USB interface is unstable. Put "ion usb" in the search box at the top of this page for dozen...

Re: No Stereo Mix or Line In with SoundMax HD
Sometimes available devices are hidden - you can get a list of all available devices from clicking on "Options" then selecting "Properties". When you find the list, then that's what your hardware has. For a listed item to show up in the mixer, it must be selected n the list. Ther...

Your potential clients should be able to tell you what format they require.

Re: good mp3 imported in audacity sounds bad
Since it's just that one file that causes the problem, it's almost certainly a peculiarity with that file. If you are on Windows, grab a (free) copy of "SUPER" by erightsoft and take a look at the advanced properties - then compare it with a "normal" mp3.

I'm a noob at compiling, and not on Windows but Linux, so I can't help much directly. However there is some information on this page, including some links to other places that you may be able to get some help. http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php?title=CompilingAudacityForBeginners Also, this may ...

Re: Audacity not working with Mac OS X
What is the default sample bit depth you are using (Edit menu > Preferences > Quality Tab)
There was previously a problem on Macs when using 24 bit - this is supposed to be fixed now, but it may be worth checking.
Hopefully a Mac user will come along and help out here? ....anyone?

Re: Mike wont work and cant play files
If you are on XP - use the Windows Mixer (Loudspeaker icon near to the system clock) Find the "Record" settings and select the microphone input as your recording source - If you get a loud whistle or beep type sound from your speakers, turn your speakers down. If you are on Vista, read thi...

Re: Only left channel exports to MP3
I've not tried it in Windows, but Audacity 1.3.5 seems to be showing a similar bug in Linux. It seems to be OK if all the tracks are mono, but as soon as there are stereo tracks, the mute does not work as expected in the Exported audio. For example, Track 1 - a stereo track Track 2 - a stereo track ...

For Windows, try "HammerHead Rhythm Station"Ollie! wrote:Is there also any free drum-computer software available which allows you to create your own drum loops?
(For Linux there's "Hydrogen")

That must be why you posted on the 1.2.x forumemsteel123 wrote:But I have version 1.3.4 Beta
The defaults in Audacity 1.3.5 are 200 (threshold) and 20 (max spike)
I guess 1.3.4 is probably the same.
