Does your sound card support "What U Hear"? Many modern laptops do not. USB audio devices do not (unless you use a loopback connector).

Only by cutting out the bits with crowd noise, but then you will be cutting out parts of the music as well. There is no way to "filter" out the crowd noise.

You probably can't. Some audio device drivers don't support it - particularly on Vista. Use the Windows Mixer instead (as it says in the Audacity wiki)

AGC is ok for quick 'n' dirty recordings, but if you want good quality, turn it off and set the level manually.
