Re: Recording over tracks (Echoing?)
You are the lucky one - many people struggle to achieve what you are doing by accident. You are recording the "Stereo Mix" of your sound card - this is how you are able to record streaming audio and the like. However this is not your intention at the moment, so you need to change a setting...

Re: Weird Static happening after starting fine
If you put the Numark TTUSB to one side for the moment and record something directly into the Line input of your computer, how well does that work? Does that cure the "static" problem?

Re: Mike wont work and cant play files
HD Realtek which according to the Aucacity wiki is (only?) suitable for Vista. Not only suitable for Vista. It's a general purpose sound chip that works with most operating systems, but is only really suitable for (average quality) playback of music and system beeps and squeaks, and perhaps a bit o...

Re: Not Recording Stereo
I have a Mobile Pre USB with a Behringer C-1 mic. I setup everything on my laptop and I can record my voice in stereo. No you can't. The Behringer C-1 is a mono device and it only records in mono. You may have been able to record 2 identical channels in a stereo track, but it is still mono. (listen...

Re: Audacity 1.3.5 crashes computer
If you go to the Edit menu and select "Preferences" you will see a tab called "Audio I/O". On this tab there are two drop down menus, one for the recording device, and one for the playback device. What options are listed, and which do you have selected? Also, in the "Quality...

Re: A need for dynamic noise removal
It sounds like you would really like "real time Eq". This is a much requested feature, but not yet implemented.
For noise removal, have a go with Audacity 1.3.5 - the noise removal effect is much improved from the 1.2.x version.

Re: Using VOIP Phones to record interviews?
Some voip applications have the ability to save the audio. This is the best solution as trying to "record" it with another application is not usually very successful.

Re: Can't get sound !
I am using a double sided headphone jack. I have connected one side into the boom box's headphone and the other into the computer's headphone. Your boom box sends audio out of its headphone socket. Your computer sends audio out of its headphone socket. Got an idea of what's wrong? You need to get t...
