Re: I cant seem to find Mixer toolbar...-_-"
I'm trying to set it to stereo mix...but wheres the option for that? Look in the Windows Mixer (loudspeaker icon near the system clock). Note that Windows sometimes hides some of the inputs, and not all sound cards support stereo mix. You will find more information here: http://audacityteam.org/wik...

Re: ID3v2 tags gets wiped out
To make the discussion easier to follow I've merged the two topics. The ID3v2 tags aren't getting "wiped out", but you are loosing some of the data from them - namely the Year and the cover art. The trouble is that ID3v2 tags are not really a standard. The document you refer to describes i...

You can't use the high-pass plug-in filter, but you can use the Equalizer to perform a high pass effect

Re: Rewritable CD's
I downloaded a bunch of free programs, but none of them helped to erase or turn an data CD to an audio CD. Are the free ones hopeless? What would you recommend for a free Music CD Authoring software, or at least an inexpensive one. K3B - Free - runs on Linux Nero Essentials - not free but inexpensi...

Re: CD's don't work in some players
If you have made a proper audio CD and you open it in Windows Explorer, you should see a list of CDA tracks (track_number.cda) rather than a list of audio files (track_name.mp3, track_name.wav, track_name.mpg etc). Be sure to use good quality CDR's Don't use rewritable disks (CDRW) Use only stereo f...

Re: Recording suddenly stops
Hi Steve, I have been converting a few old vinyls to MP3 to burn onto CD. I recorded all 7 individual tracks from side one of the current LP and exported each as an MP3 file. I turned it over and recorded the first track on side 2, gave it it's name and clicked Save, - then nothing! The list of pre...

Do you have "clicktrack.ny" in your Audacity plugins folder?

Re: High Pass filter on multiple files equalizes their lengt
The issue is caused because Audacity has to process the full length of the longest track, and because all the tracks are being processed in parallel (which is very quick and efficient) it means that every track is processed for that length of time, thus creating silence to pad out shorter tracks to ...
