I think it's more an Audacity/portaudio problem. Unfortunately I don't have the knowledge or skills to help fix it, so I, like you, have just got to wait for the guys and gals that can. ;)

Have a play with it - if you get stuck, just ask (lots of useful stuff in the wiki by the way - see link at top of page)

Re: Can't import flac

Since you are on Windows, grab a (free) copy of SUPER (from erightsoft). It has a great feature for analysing media file formats. If you analyse a few files, you may discover why some file play OK, and others do not.

When you have done that, upload the resulting mp3 somewhere on the internet and post a link so we can...

Re: SAVE PROJECT question

If your Audacity projects are recorded at 32 bit, then the project data will be twice the size of "normal" CD audio. Also, if the sample rate is 98000 Hz, then the size will be more than double again. CD quality is 16 bit 44100 Hz stereo (about 10MB per minute). Recording at 32 bit 96000 H...

I presume that this is a plug-in that you've found. This article explains about Equalization, including "Shelf Eq"

Re: Audacity, 2 mics, record in mono? HELP pls.

The way that I would do it: Mic 1 | ---->External Mixer (mic 1 panned left, mic 2 panned right) --> Audacity (stereo) | Mic 2 So you now have a stereo track with Mic 1 on the upper (left) channel and Mic 2 on the lower (right) channel. Click on the name of the track and from the drop down menu selec...

Re: Unbalanced Mp3 sound

The link that you posted is regarding exporting projects that have some tracks muted, or soloed. Is that what you are doing? If so, the the workaround is to select the tracks that you want Exported, and do not select the tracks that should be muted, then use "Export Selected".
