Re: How do I...?

My guess is that you have moved or deleted some of Audacity's data files.

Re: Un-mini the mini-speaker

There is only a certain amount of improvement that you can make - no amount of post production processing can put back what is not there, but what you can do, is to make the most of what IS there. This is using Audacity 1.3.5 First, have a look at what you are up against: Select a representative sec...

Re: Red marks in the audio file

The red marks indicate that you have recorded too loud. They indicate the positions where the audio reaches 0dB and has "clipped" (distortion).

When you record, you need to record at a lower level so as to avoid clipping.

Re: Rewritable CD's

Why would you want to record your audio to a rewrite???? I hardly ever use rewritable CD's these days - normal CDR's are cheap enough these days (less than 10p UK) and are more reliable. They seemed to be much more worthwhile back in the day when CDR's were expensive. I do occasionally use them if ...

Re: Multi track issues...

Check your leads. Also, this is a USB device? If so: Close Audacity. Use the "safely remove hardware" and shut down all instances of the M-Audio. Switch off, or disconnect the M-Audio from the computer and leave it off for a short while (20 seconds) Reconnect/switch on the M-Audio and wait...
