Re: Exported wav file won't play in Windows Media Player
There's a little box in the lower left corner of the main Audacity window.wishgranted wrote:How do I change the "project sample rate"?

No that's not how it's supposed to work, and both you and I are missing something. I don't know what you are doing wrong, but there is something not quite right.

jumbika , your question is totally off topic, has nothing at all to do with the question being discussed, and has nothing to do with Audacity. Read the manual, or ask in a forum that is relevant to your question.

Re: How to cut files in pieces for embedding in PowerPoint
I am just completely frustrated at this point. Time for a nice cup of tea and relax for a bit. This thing will not even play in WinAmp. Then there may be a problem with the exported audio. Can you upload a short sample that will not play (except in Audacity) somewhere on the internet and post a lin...

Re: Making voice recording sound awesome
Interesting! Does that mean it's easy to fix clipping/distortion/peaking if I go too hot? No, quite the opposite. It means that when recording with a high bit depth (24 or 32 bit) you can afford to leave lots of headroom without sacrificing any dynamic range. You should aim to have your analogue ha...

Re: [issue]constant jack connections
I tried to record something with Audacity, but these issues are even worse when recording. It seems I first have to hit record then hit pause and then make my preferred JACK connections.... this aint gonna work... That's exactly what I've been saying. For now, it's ALSA, but I look forward to JACK ...

Re: audacity and protools
ProTools effects are not compatible with anything other than ProTools. ProTools only natively supports ProTools effects (it doesn't even support VST effects without buying an additional VST wrapper program). ProTools does not support free and open source effects such as Nyquist or LADSPA plug-in eff...

Re: How to cut files in pieces for embedding in PowerPoint
Personally I think WMP is rubbish. Who needs a media player that needs to phone home to Uncle Bill every 5 minutes, for either a codec it can't find, or just to let Micro$oft know what you are doing. But I do find it surprising that it will not play a 16 bit 44100Hz stereo Microsoft PCM WAV file. Ha...
