Re: Changing WAV format without loosing quality

22050 will not do sparkling, crisp audio. The highest frequency that you can have at any particular sampling frequency is less than half of the sampling frequency. Re: Freeverb and Gverb Install Problems

Try the Steve Harris plug-in pack for OSX from this page: http://plugin.org.uk/
The link is under the news heading "2006-08-30"

I think that it should include G-Verb.

Re: recording with audacity and lexicon alpha

Try using Audacity 1.3.6 and see if that is any better. If no improvement, check out the things in this post: http://audacityteam.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=3053&p=26802#p13796 If still no joy, look up "USB" in the Audacity wiki: http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php?search=us...

Re: How do I open multiple files on the same Audacity interf

Use "Import audio" instead of "open" (I think that it's in the "tracks" menu in 1.2.6 - in Audacity 1.3.x it's in the "File" menu)

Re: command-line interface rather GUI?

Audacity has been designed to be used with a GUI. The command line parameters are extremely basic (I thing it is limited to telling Audacity to open a file).
You can use LAME directly from the command line for encoding to MP3.

Re: Extremely Strange Problem....

We hear of this problem quite frequently, but it is usually with cheap or on-board sound cards. The cause of the problem is that the sound card uses a clock signal so that it can divide up the incoming and outgoing audio data according to the selected sample rate. That clock signal must be steady an...
