Re: recording with audacity and lexicon alpha
When I put audacity in the new computer I did it from a disc. Should I download it on the actual PC that will be running it? That shouldn't make any difference, though it would do no harm to try downloading it again. Note that to do a "clean" install, you must remove Audacity's preference...

Re: allow playback start close to playback cursor
Seems to me the quick-play is much more effecient. Just click on the timeline where you think the end of the commercials is located and listen. If you've misjudged, click somewhere else till you find the end, then drag the right edge of the label to that spot. You can press the "C" key to...

... I had seen that post before and have tried most of those things with no success... Could you tell us what things you have tried - it will allow us to rule out a lot of possibilities. Isn't 1.3.6 the beta? Yes, it's the beta - that means it still has a few minor bugs in it, but it is quite a lat...

Re: 1.3.6 Menu Structure
I agree that it is a little frustrating at first, but it does not take long to become familiar with where the effects are located. You should not need to "click" multiple times, as once you have clicked on the effects menu, each of the sub folders should open just by pointing at them. If y...

Re: Error Message help needed
There are advantages to using multiple partitions on Windows, particularly with old Operating systems that use FAT file system. Fragmentation was an ongoing problem with FAT file systems - where files were modified frequently you would rapidly end up with lots of little files all over the disk which...
