Re: free midi to wav converter

If you are on Windows, I believe that there is a wma encoder (converts WAV into WMA) available free directly from Microsoft (available from the Microsoft web site).

Re: Program Locks/stops redrawing after playback

I'm now running Ubuntu Intrepid with the "official" 1.3.5 version of Audacity from the repository and it works great - seems pretty bug free at the moment.

Re: Wanting to create separate tracks

Audacity would not read the .cpa file on the CD. That is correct (assuming that you mean .cda tracks), Audacity does not have the ability to read audio tracks directly from CD (though that is a feature that I would like to see included, even if it's just integration with an open source CD ripper ra...

Re: Suggestions on pc recording

Many people use that Zoom thing, although it does have some problems. You can't adjust it during the performance. You can actually. There is a L/M/H microphone gain switch, which can be changed during record, and the "fast forward/fast reverse" buttons allow fine adjustment of the recordi...

I have included it as an attachment - just unzip it into your plug-ins folder.

Re: Trouble with vocoder plugin in Audacity 1.3.6

Hi, I recently downloaded Audacity 1.3.6 for Mac os x. I tried to use the vocoder effect by doing this: 1) Carrier audio (speaking into a mic) - Right Channel Modulator audio - Left Channel 2) Next without highlighting any of the two, I went into Effect -> Spectral Processor -> Vocoder 3) I set the...
