Re: Problem with amr files
If you can convert the AMR file to WAV, then you will be able to edit the WAV file in Audacity.

Re: Bug Report -- VISTA
I've found some information that indicates that this problem (opening Audacity Preferences causes Audacity to crash on Windows Vista) may be due to the absence of an available recording source. See the information on this page and make sure that a valid recording source is available in Vista before ...

Re: Bug Report -- VISTA
The "hot-key" short-cut for "Preferences" is Ctrl+P
Does that also cause Audacity to crash?

Re: Unable to see wave form?
If you can play a file in Audacity, then the wave must be there - perhaps it is just so small that it looks like a flat line? If you mean that you cannot record, check the usual Vista issues here: http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php?title=Windows_Vista_OS and see the tutorials here: http://audaci...

Re: MP3 plays too fast in Firefox
am using Wimpy Button to play the sampe music on a website. It works great in Internet Explorer but not Firefox. In Firefox the music plays too fast and is chipmunked. Re: Generate Silence Hot Key
As with other "Generate" and "Effects", hot-keys are not supported. I think there was (quite some time ago) an "add feature" request for hot-key support for effects, but I think that this would probably be difficult to implement as Audacity has an open structure to supp...

Re: TimeLine Overshoot
Let me check that I understand the question. Say you have a show that is exactly 30 minutes duration. You select a region that starts at 28 minutes, and extends to 31 minutes. Question 1 - why is that possible when there is nothing after 30 minutes? Question 2 - is this ever a problem? If I've got t...

Re: Edit Point Delay
Mouse click a point. SpaceBar play [nope, that's not it] SpaceBar Stop. Mouse click new point. Repeat until success. Are you clicking on the time-line or the track? If you click on the time line, play should begin without pressing the spacebar. An alternative method: 1) Select the edit region on th...
