Re: How to record from usb soundcard?
I don't think the "Lead 3d sound 5.1" can do that directly. You want to record sounds that are playing on your computer, but if you use the Lead 3d sound 5.1, they are not playing "on your computer", they are playing on the "Lead 3d sound 5.1" There are some options tha...

Re: .aup to .wav track messed up on audio CD
Audio sample rate: 48 kHz (I'm assuming that 48 kHz is different than 44100Hz? Yes, 48kHz is different. 48kHz (48000 Hz) is commonly used in video and professional audio but not on audio CD's. Audio CD's must be 41000Hz (44.1 kHz). Some CD burning programs will automatically convert the audio to th...

Re: .aup to .wav track messed up on audio CD
By the way, Audacity 1.2.2 is ancient (obsolete). When this current CD problem has been resolved you should give Audacity 1.3.6 a go. You do not need to remove Audacity 1.2.2 as you can have both versions on your computer at the same time. Audacity 1.3.x can open projects made in Audacity 1.2.x, but...

Re: How to record from usb soundcard?
What USB sound card do you have? (make and model number).
I'm not sure that I understand what you mean. Exactly what is it that you want to record? Where is the sound/audio signal coming from?tonydsam wrote:I dont actually want to record from the microphone of the usb soundcard but from the soundcard itself.

Re: .aup to .wav track messed up on audio CD
I'll leave this topic in this section of the forum as it is almost certainly not an Audacity issue. You have certainly been trying, and this is a weird problem. Let's cover a few basics first; CD's must use audio that is in the format "16 bit stereo 44100Hz PCM WAV" CD's are limited to 99 ...

Re: .aup to .wav track messed up on audio CD
The wavy line is probably because your microphone is picking up some low frequency vibration (you are recording with a microphone?) Do you live near a train station, above a subway, in an area subject to volcanic activity, were you tapping your foot on the microphone stand? If you have an electric p...

Re: Will not record using HWDigidesign Core audio
I don't know about Macs, but on Windows Digidesign use some very weird sound card drivers. By default a few programs will work with the drivers, but to get other programs to work requires that the application is listed in the Digidesigns part of the Windows registry (Uugh). If you are unable to reso...

Re: Audacity Isn't Detecting My Sound
The computer has the same error all the time, Which is? I go into Audacity, and go and set the audio and sound devices back to its previous settings, Which are? You are recording through a USB interface? Do you have the USB interface selected as the recording input in Audacity Preferences? (Edit > ...
