Re: Effects Plug-Ins not showing up.
I've not got a Windows machine handy at the moment, but you should have more than that. There should be the "Change Speed"/Tempo/Pitch effects for a start. We need accurate detail now: Which version of Audacity do you have (look in the "About" part of the Help menu) Which version...

Re: Effects Plug-Ins not showing up.
That could be the problem - I don't think that is the default directory for Audacity 1.3.6skey wrote:the plugins are in C: > Program Files > Audacity > Plugins
It should be something like:
C: Program FilesAudacity 1.3 Beta (Unicode)Plug-Ins

Re: Audacity loses audio!
Most likely you have accidentally moved or deleted some of the data that the project requires.

Re: ANDing / XORing two almost identical tracks
Oops, I nearly forgot - how to use that code. Select some audio - it must be a 2 channel track, and no more than a million samples in length. Select "Nyquist Prompt" from the Effects menu. Copy and paste that code into the Nyquist prompt text box. Click "OK" If you want to proces...

Re: Effects Plug-Ins not showing up.
Yep, the LADSPA plug-ins have an installation program which places the DLL files directly into the plug-in folder. I have the DLLs but no listing of the effects plug-ins on the Audacity Beta interface. Let me guess, you're using Audacity 1.3.6? This version has a new feature which is to sort effect...

Re: Effects Plug-Ins not showing up.
Plug-ins are often distributed as zip files - they must be un-zipped into the Audacity plug-in folder. Note that if you previously had Audacity 1.2 installed, then you will have 2 Audacity folders. The Audacity 1.3 folder can be found in the "Program Files" folder and will be labelled as &...
Re: HELP ??
I forgot about these tutorials - they are specifically about Audacity 1.2.x and may be a bit easier to follow:

Re: Effect Menu
1) Open Audacity 2) Import your audio file (WAV or MP3 - Windows Media files are not supported, neither are iTunes AAC files). 3) Select the audio by one of the following methods: Ctrl+A (select All) Click just below the name of the track, just above the "solo" and "mute" buttons...
Re: HELP ??
I understand the free part from your side but I paid for the equipment and that is how I got the software and when I call the number on the instruction book I am referred to this site. That's rather cheeky isn't it - I doubt that they even make a donation to Audacity. I am having problems exporting...
